On the afternoon of November 22, 2018, the first phase of the new Shekou salon, Yuan Geng‘s legend in the eyes of new new new humanity, hosted by green mango community and supported and co sponsored by Shekou community foundation, was held on the second floor of Shekou culture and Art Center. The designers of Puyu landscape studio were honored to participate in the salon.

The new Shekou salon invites at least two distinguished guests in the form of host dialogue, such as the elderly and young, successful people and grassroots. The salon was presided over by Professor Yang Qian of architecture of Shenzhen University, and invited three guests: Tu Qiao, the general director of the post-60s documentary "the legend of Yuan Geng", Mo Yifu, the person in charge of the post-90s Shenzhen ange college, and Deng liming, the post-00s primary school student. They mainly talked about yuan Geng, the first person in China‘s reform, and Shekou, Shenzhen, written by Yuan Geng.

Yuan Geng, the pawn of reform and opening up. In 1961, he served as deputy director of the first Bureau of the central investigation department and cracked the "Xiangjiang case" of the Kuomintang planning to assassinate Liu Shaoqi. In October 1975, he was transferred to the post of deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of communications, and was appointed by Minister Ye Fei to investigate the operation of China Merchants Group. After completing the investigation, he wrote a request for instructions report. The suggestions put forward in the report have become the specific content of China‘s reform and opening-up policy. In 1978, he presided over the work of China Merchants Group and took the lead in proposing to establish an export-oriented industrial zone in Bao‘an county (now Shenzhen) adjacent to Hong Kong, located in the corner of Nantou Peninsula in the south of Shenzhen.

Yuan Geng began to "break the ice" in Shekou - he took the lead in putting forward the slogan "time is money, efficiency is life"; The first to hold democratic elections; Take the lead in implementing open recruitment of talents throughout the country; First, reform the personnel system, freeze the original level and salary level, and implement the employment system; The first to implement project bidding; The first is to reform the distribution system; The first is to realize the commercialization of housing; The first is to establish a social security system; Build the first enterprise run port open to the outside world; Establish the first joint-stock bank run by the enterprise; Founded the first joint-stock insurance company. When he took over, China Merchants had only 130 million (RMB) assets. When he left office, China Merchants had more than 20 billion assets.
